Ammo crates are handed out during Registration at Fort Mission in Dullstroom on D-Day minus 1 to Recce Mission and Jammie participants. These can be used to store essential race gear and will available at selected TB(s).
Ammo crates need to be handed in at Registration before the specified cut-off time on D-Day as the vehicles transporting these will leave Fort Mission before the start of each event.
No ammo crates will be available to participants at late registration at the Highland Gate Start on D-Day.
Ammo crates will be available at the Registration area on D-Day plus 1 from 08h00 for collecting gear and stuff left in the ammo crates at the following Temporary Bases:
- MTB Mission & Jammie events: Each Solo or Pair will receive one ammo crate at Registration for packing gear that can be collected and deposited at Fort Tower TB (~100 km) or Fort Stix TB (~130 km).
- Trail Mission & Jammie events: Each Solo or Pair will receive one ammo crate at registration for packing gear that can be collected and deposited at Fort Falls TB (~30 & 55 km).
- Dual Mission: Each Heavy or Small Team will receive two ammo crate at registration for packing gear that can be collected and deposited at Fort Forest TB after the Trail Marathon and at Fort Stix TB (~100 km).
Ammo crates will be numbered with the race number.
